Your adventure begins at 4:30 PM at our Nomadex Office in Uyuni city, or we can pick you up from your hotel upon request. From there, embark on a scenic drive to the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, where nature puts on an unforgettable show. As the sun sets, watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant colors, capturing the stunning optical illusions created by the endless white salt. Once darkness falls, prepare to be mesmerized as the Milky Way unveils itself in one of the clearest night skies on Earth, offering an extraordinary opportunity for breathtaking starlit photography.
For your comfort, we provide waterproof wellies, allowing you to fully enjoy the mirror effect without worry. As you soak in the beauty of the night sky, sip on hot coffee to stay warm and savor the peaceful magic of the salt flats. Before returning to Uyuni around 8:30 PM, take advantage of this perfect moment to capture surreal reflections in this dreamlike setting.
Please Note:
The mirror effect can be seen year-round when a thin layer of water enhances the salt flats’ reflective surface. However, after the dry season (typically September to November), water levels may decrease depending on weather conditions.

When is the best time to visit the Uyuni Salt Flats?
The Uyuni Salt Flats can be visited year-round, but if you want to travel during the best season, we recommend visiting between May and November. These months are dry, making them ideal for various activities and for exploring the most important attractions in Uyuni.
What important details should I know about this experience?
● This experience is offered as a shared service, meaning the vehicle will be shared with other travelers, up to a maximum of 15 passengers. All travelers will follow the same itinerary. If you prefer a private tour, please contact us for pricing at info@nomadex.com.
● To ensure the itinerary runs smoothly, there is a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes before departure.
● Seats in the vehicle are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Travelers must return in the same seat occupied at the start of the tour.
How far in advance should I book my tour?
You can book up to 48 hours before the tour start date, subject to availability (if you are already in Uyuni). However, if you are traveling from a neighboring country or anywhere else in the world, we recommend booking at least 30 days in advance, or 2 months ahead if you are traveling during Uyuni’s high season.
Do I need to bring identification for the experience?
Yes, all participants must carry a valid ID, Foreign Resident Card, or Passport during the tour. Entrance tickets can only be purchased in person on the same day of the tour, and a valid ID is required at the ticket office of each attraction.
