Code of Conduct Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA)

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) of Peru has reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents by implementing the Code of Conduct Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA).

This significant initiative by the Ministry aims to raise awareness and train all stakeholders involved in the country’s tourism sector in order to prevent and eradicate the sexual exploitation of minors, defined as individuals under the age of 18.

Code of Conduct against ESNNA and our Commitment

NOMADEX is committed to undertaking a series of collaborative actions aimed at preventing and eradicating the issue of the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in the provision of our services. This will be carried out in collaboration with all members of our team and suppliers.

Actions implemented by NOMADEX TRAVEL in the fight against ESNNA

By adhering to the Code of Conduct to eradicate the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA), we assume the constant commitment to implement a series of actions, among which the following stand out:

NOMADEX, we commit to adhere to this commitment by signing the Code of Conduct against ESNNA before GERCETUR CUSCO. We guarantee compliance with the principles and duties established in this document, as well as compliance with the General Law of Tourism and its regulations regarding the prevention of ESNNA.

We promote awareness and training of our entire team, including administrative, operational, commercial staff and other parties involved. No member of the NOMADEX team participates in activities related to the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, whether in pornographic activities, sex tourism or trafficking for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation.

We extend awareness and training to all collaborators such as: guides, cooks, drivers, support (porters), muleteers, community rural tourism ventures, hotels, hostels, restaurants and their collaborators. As with our internal team, we ensure that none of the interest groups participate in activities related to the sexual exploitation of minors.

NOMADEX is committed to enforcing the five commitments established in the document and to reporting ESNNA to the corresponding authorities.

In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, NOMADEX works to promote the well-being of children in our region and country. This is achieved indirectly by generating income for families in the destinations where we operate and carry out our different activities.

By adopting the responsible tourism approach in all our tourism operations, seeks to contribute to the development and well-being of the local host communities and all the direct and indirect actors involved. In this sense, our actions are also aimed at preventing and eradicating the sexual exploitation of minors in line with the ESNNA program.

NOMADEX,
committed to responsible travel!
